Cancellations & Make-Up Lessons

Learn how lesson cancellations and make-up sessions work.

Updated over a month ago

Weekly Commitment

Because tutoring operates on a weekly reserved schedule:

Cancelling a lesson does not remove the weekly charge.

How to Cancel a Lesson

To cancel a lesson:

  1. Log in to your TutorBird account and submit the cancellation.

  2. You may notify the tutor, but cancellations must be recorded in TutorBird.

What Happens When a Lesson Is Cancelled?

When a lesson is cancelled:

  • The weekly charge remains.

  • A credit is issued for a future make-up session.

Credits:

  • May only be used for make-up sessions.

  • Cannot be applied to regular weekly lessons.

  • Are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Must be used while tutoring services remain active.

Make-up sessions are scheduled based on tutor availability.

Missed Sessions (No-Show)

If a student does not attend a lesson without prior cancellation:

  • The lesson is charged in full.

  • No credit is issued.

Important Notes

  • Cancelling a lesson does not change the weekly schedule.

  • Weekly billing continues unless services are formally paused or cancelled.

  • It is the parent’s responsibility to manage cancellations and schedule make-up sessions.
